Week of Prayer for Christian Unity: The week between the Feast of St Peter’s Confession and the Feast of St Paul’s Conversion is observed as a Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. While we have made much progress in the last 150 years toward greater Christian cooperation between different denominations, we still have a length of way to go as we live into Christ’s call that “They all may be one.” You are invited to join in praying for the unity of Christians throughout the world. A prayer for the Unity of the Church from the Chemin Neuf Community in Burkina Faso: Lord Jesus, who prayed that we might all be one, we pray to you for the unity of Christians, according to your will, according to your means. May your Spirit enable us to experience the suffering caused by division, to see our sin, and to hope beyond all hope. Amen.
