We are asking for volunteer drivers to enable those who would not be able to attend the services otherwise. If you need a ride to either service or can be a volunteer driver please call the church to let them know.
BOISE BENCH & BEYOND:
The Longest Night – A Service for the Weary: December 21 is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice. Sometimes the festivity surrounding the Advent and Christmas seasons does not match the weariness in our hearts – challenges in our own lives, pain and heartbreak in the world around us. All Saints is joining with Redeemer Lutheran Church for a contemplative service to let our weary hearts, bodies, and spirits rest on Saturday, December 21st, at 7 PM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2920 Cassia St. Simple music, prayers, and readings will give us a place to let us care for ourselves and one another.
Christmas Lights: Do you like driving around to look at all the beautifully decorated homes? Boise Christmas Lights has done the work of finding the best locations for you: https://www.boisechristmaslights.org/.
SAINT OF THE MONTH:
Francis de Sales, Bishop, and Jane de Chantal, Vowed Religious, Workers of Charity 1622 and 1641
Most Gracious God, who has bidden us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly before you; Grant that we, like your servants Francis and Jane, may see and serve Christ in all people, and know him as the giver of all good things; Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Join us at noon for our Eucharist on St. Lucy of Syracuse, Martyr, 304!
