MINISTRY MEMOS:
Green Team: Spring is springing and now’s the time to get signed up for summer mowing! You can pay to have it done, we have a riding mower, a push mower, or we can probably find a sickle for you! It’s your choice! Here’s the sign-up for you (please designate who is mowing in the My Comment section): https://allsaintsboise.org/worship-and-community/sign-ups/. For those wanting to pay, please deliver your check made out to Rex Sayer for $90.00 to the office.

COMMITTEE COMMENTARY:
Social Justice Committee: We oversee ministries which help to meet various unique needs in the community. Volunteers are asked and encouraged to participate in a variety of donation opportunities. The committee publishes an annual calendar of the monthly ministry opportunities for the current year, as well as, announcing the ongoing monthly activities in the Sunday bulletin. There are several events that are year round. This includes the monthly Community Meal on the first Friday of the month, the monthly Food Truck on the Monday before the Community Meal, and the ongoing nonperishable food donations to St. Vincent de Paul that go in the grocery cart located in the church narthex.
January and February kick off with the winter hat, socks, & gloves drive for Interfaith Sanctuary. In March there is a long sleeve work shirt donation drive for Farm Workers of Idaho. April is designated for donations of personal hygiene items for the Boise Rescue Mission ministries; and is also the beginning of the April/May Annual Diaper Drive for the Idaho Diaper Bank and the “Wonder Unders” underwear donations for Interfaith Sanctuary. During the summertime months, there are collections of non-perishable food snacks and personal hygiene items for the College of Western Idaho student campus food boxes. September is Pride Parade participation month; October is the pet food and pet item drive; November is the Crop Walk, the winter coat collection drive for Joseph’s Closet with Whitney Methodist Church, and the Thanksgiving Meal Turkey Boxes. Last, but not least, is the December Angel Tree; this is an opportunity to buy gifts for the children whose parents are incarcerated. Also, this December, we will, for the first time, adopt an Agency for New Americans family for holiday gift giving. Please contact Mary Ellen Gallagher with any and all questions or ways to participate. This is a real “Love your neighbor as yourself” ministry.
Thank you for any and all donations and contributions!
