Sr. Warden Stewardship Letter

Greetings All Saints family!

You have, no doubt, heard testimony from various members of the Vestry sharing why they support the All Saints by pledging their time, talent, and treasure to All Saints ministries in our church and community. I’m sure you’ve also all read Father Joseph’s Stewardship letter and if not, I won’t tell.

Plenty Good Room. That is the underlying theme for our stewardship campaign this year. What does that mean to you? What does it mean to us as a church family of God? What does it mean for our community?

Our building has plenty good room, and rooms! Rooms for anonymous meetings, rooms for the Friendship Clinic, room for fellowship, room for teaching children, and room for crafts. We have plenty good room for worship, prayer, learning, administrating, and preparing the gifts we use to serve God in church and beyond.

Our grounds also have plenty good room. Room to house our rector. Room to feed our neighbors in need. Room to support native plants and pollinators. Room to provide a safe place for children to play, read, shoot hoops.

Finally, our hearts have more good room than all of that combined. We have room to welcome the stranger, feed the hungry, visit the lonely, and clothe those in need. We have plenty good room to love and be loved, and share the love of Jesus Christ with friend, neighbor, and stranger alike.

Balancing the administration of church business with God’s calling to us to be the hands, head, and heart of Christ in a suffering world isn’t easy. And one of the most difficult things we have to do is look you, our siblings, in the eye and ask for money. And yet we do, year after year.

Your Vestry will spend the next three months until the annual meeting faithfully praying and stewarding our collective treasure to best serve the ministries of our community. We did it last year, we will do it this year, and all the years to come. It is not easy, but we have plenty good room to do this work to support the plenty good room we all share, so God’s love and healing reach everyone we touch.

Yours in Christ, Al Borg-Borm, Senior Warden
