Ornament Drop:  Meridian Arts Commission is once again hosting an ornament drop! All ages and artistic abilities are encouraged to make handmade holiday ornaments to hide (or “drop”) in downtown Meridian from December 1 – 9 for others to find and keep as a gift. Ornaments can be hung from trees, propped on window sills, or placed in any number of creative locations for someone else to find. Those lucky enough to find an ornament (only one per person, please) are encouraged to post a photo of it on social media using the hashtag #meridianornamentdrop, or email the Meridian Arts Commission at [email protected] for the Arts Commission to post. Details and the Ornament Drop form which should be attached to each ornament you drop can be found at: www.meridiancity.org/ornamentdrop.

St. Vincent de Paul:  There has been an uptick in unauthorized after-hours access and they need to raise an additional $5,000.00 to cover the cost of a fence.  If you can, please donate here:  https://svdpid.org/donate-now/.

The Longest Night – A Service for the Weary: December 21 is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice. Sometimes the festivity surrounding the Advent and Christmas seasons does not match the weariness in our hearts – challenges in our own lives, pain and heartbreak in the world around us. All Saints Episcopal Church is joining with Redeemer Lutheran Church for a contemplative service to let our weary hearts, bodies, and spirits rest on Thursday, December 21st, at 7 pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church (2920 Cassia St, Boise). Simple music, prayers, and readings will give us a place to let us care for ourselves and one another.

Fr. Joseph’s Emergency Message Phone:  If you are in need of pastoral care, please leave a message on Fr. Joseph’s emergency message phone at 208-917-2270.  Include your name, a call-back number, and a detailed message and he will get to you as soon as he can.  You may also text a message to this phone!
