DID YOU KNOW?
All Saints Food Truck
A very compassionate woman named Pat Jones started the food truck ministry many years ago. Every week she picks up surplus food from Albertsons and Whole Foods and delivers the food to various churches. All Saints is fortunate to receive these food donations once a month; the Monday before the first Friday of each month. Pat usually arrives at All Saints with her load around 5:30 PM. Volunteers and shoppers help unload the truck. Once unloaded, the shoppers take as much of the donated foods as they would like. Most of these shoppers come from the Boise Bench area, but others are welcome. The remaining food is transported by one or two of our volunteers with trucks to the River of Life Men’s Shelter and/or the City of Life Women’s Shelter.
Many hands make light work so additional volunteer help is always appreciated. If assisting with this ministry is something that calls to you, please feel free to contact Nicole in the office for additional information and dates.
INTERACTION INFO:
