February 26th Snapshot

On-line Giving:  We have switched from Vanco to Tithely for our on-line giving.  As of March 15th, Vanco payments will no longer go through. Here is the link to sign up on Tithely: https://allsaintsboise.org/giving-to-all-saints/.  Thank you very much for your generosity!  If you need any help deleting your Vanco account and/or setting up your Tithely account, please come on in Tuesday-Friday, 9-12.

Refugee Forum:  On February 26th, our 9:00 A.M. forum will host representatives from the Agency for New Americans, which is part of Episcopal Migration Ministry.  Their presentation is comprehensive, providing information about who refugees are, the process they go through to get here, and the challenges they face once they arrive. They will also talk about what local agencies do to help refugees successfully settle in their new home.  Please join us in welcoming ANA’s Community Outreach Specialist and Volunteer Coordinator, Olivia, and ANA intern, Jenn.

Food Truck:  The Food Truck will be here February 27th at 5:30 P.M.; please come help us distribute food to our neighbors.  Connect with Julie Walker if you are able to assist – we do need lots of help as this mission is growing!

Friendship Meal:  The next Friendship Meal will be March 3rd and this month we are serving Taco Soup.  Stop by for some supper and meet our neighbors!  If you’d like to help out, you can sign-up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0a4aaeac2ea5fc1-friendship#/.

Social Justice:  During the month of February, the Social Justice committee will be collecting medium weight or light weight socks in men’s and women’s sizes.  We have been in contact with the foot clinic at Corpus Christi house and this is what they need.  They have plenty of heavy weight socks, but almost none for the coming seasons.  There will be a basket in the Narthex to receive them.  At the end of February they will be donated to the foot clinic.  If you have any questions, call or text Mary Ellen Gallagher.

Parish Lenten Book Read:  Lent is coming up soon! For a shared spiritual practice, let’s read Joan Chittister’s The Monastic Heart: 50 Simple Practices for a Contemplative and Fulfilling Life.  Each chapter is delightfully straightforward and short – five or so pages! – and will give us all something to chew upon for the season of Lent.  We’ll discuss it on Wednesday evenings (starting on March 1st) at 6:00 P.M. for anyone who is interested.  Please order your preference of an e-book or paperback. Fr. Joseph’s Emergency Message Phone:  If you are in need of pastoral care, please leave a message on Fr. Joseph’s emergency message phone at 208-917-2270.  Include your name, a call-back number, and a detailed message and he will get to you as soon as he can.  You may also text a message to this phone!
